The San Francisco Giants are a not going to win the World Series Wednesday night, at least that’s what the oddsmakers in Las Vegas say. But the Giants have been proving Vegas bookies wrong all year, and for the better part of the last decade.
Dick’s Sporting Goods may have jumped the gun by airing a TV spot advertising World Series Champions Kansas City Royals gear before the Series is over.

Over the past few years the San Francisco Giants have been just a noteworthy for their quirky players as they have been for their play on the field. No one exemplifies that quirk more than outfielder Hunter Pence. He is goofy, lanky, and plays with an unconventional zeal. He tends to show all his emotions wildly with his eyes almost popping out of his head like a Looney Tunes cartoon.
