Some Republican pundits and prognosticators were up in arms after seeing Bradley Cooper in the audience at last week’s DNC.
The reaction left the actor confused.
“I was not expecting that,” Cooper told James Corden on The Late Late Show. “Republicans were up in arms that I was there watching the president speak.”
Cooper was shown in the Philadelphia audience during the Obama’s speech endorsing Hillary Clinton. Immediately after being picture on television, the internet exploded with criticism. The outrage seemed to center around the fact that Bradley played U.S. Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle in the 2014 film “American Sniper.”
