CeeLo Green is jumping on the mobile game train. He’ll join Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and other artists who are releasing, or have already released, their own apps. Called ‘CeeLo’s Joyride,’ the game puts users behind the wheel and takes them through the “mean streets.”
Starting in Atlanta, GA, players must navigate through 10 levels, each of which is designed to get them one step closer to helping CeeLo make his hometown performance. If they make it through all 10 level, players will unlock a brand new music video from the artist.
CeeLo has been working on the app for two years, according to the press release. “I know for a fact that sometimes your dreams are only a joyride away, and this has been a guidepost for us throughout the creative process on CeeLo’s Joyride,” said CeeLo. “If my fans enjoy playing the game as much as I do, folks are going to be having a real good time—until they crash!”
A portion of proceeds will benefit Atlanta’s Greenhouse Foundation. The app is available as a free download from the Apple App Store and Google Play.
