California Artist Re-Imagines Disney Princesses As Classic Pin-Ups

For most people, Disney princesses might be synonymous with wholesome entertainment.

That idea, while generally accepted by most, is not exactly shared by Los Angeles-based Andrew Tarusov, an artist who has taken to re-imagining the characters as classic 50s pin-ups on his Instagram page.

In Tarusov’s (sometimes literally) cheeky renditions, we get a different, more mischievous look at the characters.

The artist has so far created playful versions of Aladdin‘s Jasmine, The Little Mermaid‘s Ariel, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty‘s Aurora and seven other princesses, each of which are racking up hundreds of likes on his Instagram.

While the photos are not exactly fare for those who admire Disney’s adherence to modesty, they are a cute, slightly scandalous take on our favorite cartoon stars.
