SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — Grammy Award-winning San Francisco guitarist Carlos Santana will perform the national anthem with his wife, Cindy Blackman Santana, at Game 2 of the NBA Finals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors Sunday night at Oakland’s Oracle Arena.
Carlos Santana established himself on the Bay Area music scene with a groundbreaking Latin-rock sound. After 40 years and more than 100 million records sold, Santana’s catalogue of hits includes “Oye Como Va,” “Maria Maria,” and “Smooth.” He has won ten Grammys in his storied career.
On Sunday, Santana will take center court with his wife Cindy, who is best known for her work with Lenny Kravitz and is one of music’s most respected drummers. She is also a band leader with 10 records to her credit and is currently in the studio working on her next release.
