A LEGO Brickumentary will hit theaters July 31.
The 92-minute film, produced in collaboration with the LEGO Company, made its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in April 2014.
According to a release, directors Daniel Junge and Kief Davidson explore the brick that has captured imaginations for generations and look at the fundamental question: is it a toy or something more? The film is a departure for the two documentarians, well known for their work with socially and politically powerful material.
Narrated by Jason Bateman, the documentary will transport viewers to art galleries full of LEGO creations, show off Master Builders who create unimaginably impressive works of art, dive into the world of LEGO therapy, and introduce the world to AFOLS (Adult Fans of LEGO).
