A day after a medley performance with John Mayer and Electric Light Orchestra at the GRAMMYs, Ed Sheeran announced he’s taking his show on the road again in 2015.
The singer announced an extensive North American tour today (Feb. 9), with the first date at New Orleans’ New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival on May 2. The non-festival dates kick off a few days later on May 6 in Austin, Texas. The tour will make a stop at the Greek Theater at Berkeley on June 26.
From there, Sheeran will hit most major markets in the U.S. and Canada, including a two-night set on May 28-29 at the Forest Hills Stadium outside New York City.
He’ll wrap up the tour with a date at Milwaukee’s Summerfest on July 3.
An opener for the tour has not yet been announced.
Sheeran was up for multiple GRAMMYs at last night’s awards, including for Album of the Year for sophomore effort X. However, he went home empty-handed, though not before playing his own song “Thinking Out Loud” and joining Electric Light Orchestra for a set.
