Week 2 of the NFL season was packed with bad plays, calls, and more. A double fumble, horrible timeout, NFL bungle, and a bevy of turnovers were among the biggest low-lights of the week.
James Jones Double Fumble:
The Raiders fumble a lot but a sigle player fumbling twice in the same play? That is a new one. Raider James Jones managed it on Sunday with the play ending with the Texans recovering the ball.
On the bright side the play pinned the Texans back better than the Raiders special teams probably ever could have.
NFL Misses Call On Percy Harvin TD:
If the Seahawks had come back to win their game on Sunday this would have been an even bigger deal but the league should still be blushing. With the official point to out of bounds and every scoring play being reviewed at the front office, missing Percy Harvin stepping out of bounds … is just that … out of bounds.
Jets Blow Touchdown When Coordinator Calls Timeout:
The Jets looked liked they had tied up the game in the 4th quarter with a Geno Smith to Jeremy Kerley touchdown on fourth down but it was negated because offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg (and defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson) called a timeout from the sideline just before the snap.
Woe is QB:
Colin Kaepernick had 3 interceptions and a fumble lost in 49ers loss to the Bears.
Eli Manning had 2 interceptions and zero touchdowns in loss to Cardinals.
Robert Griffin 3 dislocated his ankle and is out indefinitely … but his team did win 41 – 10.
Even if it is not all his fault, Jaguars Chad Henne was sacked 10 times versus the Washington!
Roger Goodell, The NFL, And NFL Teams:
The NFL and their commish continue to fumble the ball with Ray Rice and other players and the issue of domestic violence. Ray Rice got banned while 49er McDonald plays, Vikings Adrian Petterson and Panthers Hardy are deactivated … all for violence against loved ones.
