SF’s Cervecería de MateVeza Will Hold A Samovar-Infused Beer Tasting Party Today

Maybe you’ve wandered by one of the several storefronts that are one of the city’s finest tea makers, Samovar Tea. Or, even better, maybe you’ve tasted their brewed goodness already.

The local tea company has a knack for nailing rich flavors, sourcing many different sorts of leaves and spices for their varietals, but they’re expanding their palate towards another beverage—beer.

Woods Beer has teamed with Samovar for a limited-edition draft-only release of their Siberian Stout, and they want to give you a chance to taste it at their happy hour tasting party today at Cervecería de MateVeza (located in the Mission District at 3801 18th Street).

“Siberian Stout is a rich, dark, chocolatey brew with hints of leather and smoke, brewed with Samovar’s® Tolstoy’s Sip, an exceptional Chinese black tea,” Woods’ spokesman states. “It’s one of the many standout collaborations taking shape around the 16th and Mission corridor.

To attend, head to Cervecería de MateVeza from 6:30 to 8:30 today.
