CeeLo Green’s Reality Show ‘The Good Life’ Canceled After Controversial Comments, Low Ratings

Was it his Twitter presence? The petition condemning said presence after tweets about rape he sent over the weekend? A matter of ratings?

Who knows, but either way, CeeLo Green‘s The Good Life has been canceled.

Entertainment Weekly reports that the TBS reality show about Green will no longer be a part of the network’s schedule. The show was canceled after just one season after premiering in June.

A source confirmed to EW that the reason for the cancellation was poor ratings, though some are claiming the timing suggests that Green’s Twitter comments also played a role in some capacity.

Green came under fire after tweeting his thoughts on consent and sex after pleading no contest to giving a woman Ecstasy in 2012. The woman claimed she woke up in bed next to Green with no memory of how she got there.
