Liz Saint John interviews three guests every Sunday morning covering a variety of issues and topics. She talks with representatives from Bay Area non-profit organizations, documentary filmmakers, authors, and professors.

1.Sue Landgraf, executive Director of CFRI (Cystic Fibrosis research Incorporated) explains what the disease is, the latest drugs and therapies used to treat people with CF, and their new Cf Chef Shares Program to gather delicious recipes most beneficial to people with CF.

2.Journalist Murray Carpenter talks about the history of caffeine, how it was “discovered,” the different uses for it, the health benefits, the negative effects, and the addictive aspect of caffeine. Carpenter’s new book is Caffeinated: How Our daily Habit Helps, Hurts, and Hooks Us.

3. Investigative journalist Dianne Hales tracks down the evidence that led to the identification of┬áLisa Gherardini as the model for Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa. Hales talks about the life of Lisa, the town, her family, and her neighbor Leonardo. She also tracks the long journey of the painting from the studio to its home in the Louvre. Her new book is Mona Lisa: A Life Discovered.
