A Bakersfield pit bull puppy named Junior was playing with his sibling pups when he somehow got his head caught in a car wheel on Friday morning. The puppy began yelping, catching the attention of his owner, who (after taking an adorable picture of baby Junior) detached the wheel and drove him over to the local Fire Department branch.

The firefighters grabbed the cooking oil from their kitchen and were able to squeeze an oily (and very grumpy) Junior out of it after ten or so minutes of wiggling.

The fire department spokesman Brandon Hill says Junior was “definitely not a happy camper when that was going on,” but that pretty soon after he was “running around again.” As for what made Junior get stuck in the first place, it’s still a mystery, but spokesman Hill has a theory: “I think he was just being a puppy.”
