Struck By Genius

Jason Padgett was a furniture salesman and a self-described slacker before a violent mugging in 2002 left him with a traumatic brain injury…and a new talent for math! He also was struck with extreme agoraphobia and OCD. This was part of what is called Acquired Savant Syndrome.

Jason talks about his life before the mugging, the incident itself, and then the new life and road to recovery.

His story is chronicled in the new book Struck by Genius: How a Brain Injury Made Me a Mathematical Marvel.

The book is being made into a movie or a TV show…Jason is trying to decide…but another symptom of Acquired Savant Syndrome is an inability to make decisions!
