Up until now, Pixar has kept pretty quiet about the details of their next film, Inside Out. Variety scored some details this week though, and we now know that the film will be set in our very own San Francisco.
The plot centers around an 11-year-old girl named Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest home when her Dad takes a new job in San Francisco. Riley’s struggles are animated (literally) by her emotions, which are personified—Joy is played by Amy Poehler, Fear by Bill Hader, Anger by comedian Lewis Black, Disgust by Mindy Kaling, and Sadness by Phyllis Smith.
The five characterized emotions live in Riley’s mind, which they call Headquarters, and compete to advise her on her every day life choices.
Inside Out is slated for release June 19, 2015.
