CHP Officer Saves Frightened Chihuahua From 680 Center Divide in Walnut Creek

A tiny chihuahua somehow found its way onto the center divide on the 680 Highway in Walnut Creek on Friday during Rush Hour. A CHP officer spotted the frightened pup, and lured him off the divide with a protein bar.

The dog was likely abandoned there, as the CHP officer said. “As sad as it sounds,” Officer Fransen told CBS San Francisco, “it actually happens pretty often.”
