Ombudsman Services of San Mateo County

Ombudsman Services of San Mateo County challenges long-term care facilities to deliver the highest standards of individualized care for the residents. They advocate for the health, safety, and dignity of these residents and broader changes in the system.

They create immediate change for residents through their hands-on advocacy efforts addressing issues that range from quality of care issues to egregious abuse.

Ombudsman Services of San Mateo County is tasked with the oversight of all long term care faculties, more than 500,  in their county, in an effort to assure the safety and comfort of the more than 9,300 residents of those facilities.

Tippy Irwin is the Executive Director of Ombudsman Services of San Mateo County.
