The Second Machine Age: Work, Progress, And Prosperity In A Time Of Brilliant Technologies

The Second Machine Age: Work, Progress, and Prosperity in a Time of Brilliant Technologies is the new book from MIT’s Erik Brynjolfsson and Andrew McAfee. They are the co-founders of MIT’s Initiative on the Digital Age.

Here’s the deal: these guys are mega-smart (degrees from Harvard, MIT, MIT, Harvard, MIT, etc)…they study technology and business and what happens when a small number of people ride the wave of technological advances while many people are not trained and ready to get in the game.

They offer ideas on how to hold on to what’s left of the middle class and start building back a work force that’s trained in what the tech companies need…people who are tech smart, good communicators, and creative.
