Ron Burgundy Takes Over A Newscast

Television viewers in Bismarck, N.D., were treated to some real class this weekend when none other than the great Ron Burgundy read them the news. Actor and comedian Will Ferrell reprised his “Anchorman” role for KXMB’s Saturday night news broadcast. The former “Saturday Night Live” star is promoting “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues,” a sequel to the 2004 film about a fictional news team’s sexist reaction to the arrival of an ambitious female reporter.

300: Rise of an Empire

The movie preview for “300: Rise of An Empire” was released on December 4th. Based on Frank Miller’s latest graphic novel Xerxes, and told in the breathtaking visual style of the blockbuster “300,” this new chapter of the epic saga takes the action to a fresh battlefield-on the sea-as Greek general Themistokles attempts to unite all of Greece by leading the charge that will change the course of the war. This film pits Themistokles against the massive invading Persian forces led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes, and Artemesia, vengeful commander of the Persian navy. Returning to the sequel will be Lena Headey as Queen Gorgo, Rodrigo Santoro as Xerxes and David Wenham as Dilios.


 
Amazon Prime Air

We’re excited to share Prime Air – something the team has been working on in our next generation R&D lab. The goal of this new delivery system is to get packages into customers’ hands in 30 minutes or less using unmanned aerial vehicles. Putting Prime Air into commercial use will take some number of years as we advance technology and wait for the necessary FAA rules and regulations. This is footage from a recent test flight.

House of Cards – Season 2

The second season of Netflix’s political thriller, “House of Cards,” will debut on Valentine’s Day next year. All 13 episodes will be available immediately February 14. The Los Gatos-based company said the show, starring Kevin Spacey, Robin Wright and Kate Mara, will follow Washington politicos Francis and Claire Underwood on “their ruthless rise to power.”
