nowandzen770x770 20131 Top 5 Things I Hope Happen At Now And Zen Fest 2013

Our free show (no ticket required, you just show up – really!)  is happening this Sunday in Golden Gate Park and everybody at the station is at about DefCon 4 getting ready for it – taking care of gazillions of details and also getting so freaking excited for the show itself!

Here are the Top 5 Things I Hope Happen At Now and Zen:

5.  Walk Off The Earth do their version of “Somebody That I Used to Know”

I’m freakin’ out about this one.  It has 153 million views on YouTube and we’ll finally get to see it live, in Golden Gate Park!

4. Plain White T’s do “The Giving Tree”

Alice @ 97.3 was the first station in the country to play this new Plain White T’s song on the radio, because we’re in love with it that’s why… it’s gonna be pretty incredible to see it live, for the station that played it first, in Golden Gate Park.  #goosebumps

3. Somebody decides to propose using Goo Goo Dolls‘ “Come To Me”

“Come to Me” is the ultimate proposal song…  I can’t wait to see it live AND I can’t wait for the stories afterwards of people who either decided then and there to use it as part of their proposal – or of people who just decided then and there to propose!  Check out this couple’s story with the song.

2.  Goo Goo Dolls’ do “Here is Gone” and OneRepublic do “Feel Again” and “If I Lose Myself”

Just ’cause i love these freaking songs in particular and they’re all so great live.  Goos’ “Here is Gone” will always be one of my favorite songs ever, just because.  Johnny’s voice always gets me, every song –  but this one in particular ENDS me. AND,  OneRepublic based their video for “Feel Again” on their performance at Summerthing a few years ago … it’s gonna be so cool to see it again, live in the park, now that we know that!  And just ’cause “If I Lose Myself” is one of the best live songs ever.

Is that so wrong?
