Save The Waves Coalition is a global nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting and preserving the coastal environment, with an emphasis on the surf zone, and educating the public about its value. They are a devoted group of surfers, scientists, and activists, who share a common belief that our wild coastal areas around the world are precious and valuable, and need to be protected.

You can help support the mission of Save the Waves Coalition by becoming a member, donating, volunteering your time and/or going to the annual Life is a Wave event on June 14th at 111 Minna Gallery in San Francisco. Legendary surfer, environmentalist and wet suit maker Jack O’Neill will be honored at the event.
Dean LaTourette is a past president of the organization and a current board member. Jack Massara is an environmental lawyer and surfer who has served as general counsel for the Surfrider Foundation, the Sierra Club and is currently general counsel for O’Neill.
