2012 was a long year for Billie Joe Armstrong and Green Day. The Bay Area trio released three albums, toured Europe, became Angry Birds, added to the Twilight Soundtrack, and sent frontman Billie Joe Armstrong to a highly publicized trip to rehab – all during the last calendar year. 2013 marks the band’s return to touring and they have just announced their return to the Bay Area. The GRAMMY Award winning punk band and their “99 Revolutions Tour” are scheduled to hit the Greek Theater in Berkeley on April 16th with Los Angeles surf pop act Best Coast as the opener.
