From Marcus D

Happy New Year! 2013 is here and it’s the perfect time to kick off a new series here in “Marcus D’s Daily Bite.” We’re calling it “The Bay Area From A to Z”  Starting with week one and the letter “A.” So we are showcasing the best Asian food in the Bay according to YOU! Thanks for all the feedback. Enjoy!

10. Sushi Sam’s - Burlingame

A must try is the Omakase, or switch it up with some green tea tiramisu. But if you a have a craving for sushi, you want to check this place out.

9. Champa Garden- Oakland

Fried rice ball salad, if that doesn’t make you want to go try it out, I don’t know what will.

8. Citrus Club – Haight-Ashbury, San Francisco

Considered a hidden treasure, they’ve got what you want! A good price and big portions, can’t go wrong with that!

7. Pho Wagon- Sunnyvale

Very clean, and they get it to you fast! No waiting for good Pho and always fresh spring rolls, makes this place worth checking out.

6. Cooking Papa - Foster City

Just the name makes me want to go here! You’ll get a great view and service at this restaurant, and top it off with some of their freshly made desserts.

5. Ming’s – Pleasant Hill

For all you lazy people, they deliver, problem solved. Not to mention they have honey walnut prawns, which just sounds melt in your mouth good, and some wonton soup that’s a favorite.

4. Koi Palace - Daly City

Get some Dim Sum here, but do be sure to get there early! There can be quiet a wait, but luckily there’s great variety on the menu and lots of space inside.

3. Burma Superstar – Alameda

The Tea Leaf salad is the most raved about, but don’t worry there are tons of delicious things to try here. Don’t forget the Thai iced tea!

2. San Tung - San Francisco

We’re talking wings here people. Dry fried chicken wings! I’m pretty sure it’s mandatory you order them! Also, don’t forget your veggies, they’ve got some of the best.

1. R&G Lounge – San Francisco

Deep fried, or Salt and Pepper crab needs to be tasted here. But if that’s not your thing, they’ve got a pretty well-rounded menu to suit most, as well as good service, can’t beat that!

If we’ve missed your favorite spot let us know! Hopefully you’ll discover something delectable to try next time you dine out!
