Chris Cornell has nailed down Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl just long enough to direct Soundgarden‘s latest video for their reunion album, King Animal.
Producing, directing, and screening his new documentary Sound City, drumming for the new Queens of the Stone Age album and taking part in quasi-Nirvana reunion, Grohl is busier than ever.
From Cornell’s tweets, we can gather the Grohl-directed “By Crooked Steps” video takes place, at least in part, in a biker bar where Sons Of Anarchy-style leather jackets and motorcycle helmets set the tone for the scene. Is Grohl playing off the song’s lyric “I’m a soldier for hire, killing all you admire?” We’ll all find out together when the video debuts.
