The weekend is THANKFULLY almost here! With tons of things to choose from to do with your weekend, we’ve narrowed it down to five events to enjoy and take part in! From food festivals to Bollywood to check out, the choice is yours!

5. Festival of India - Saturday Aug 18th – Fremont

Come and relish in Indian culture at this festival, you can enjoy Indian music, food and see Bollywood performances.

4. North Fair Oaks Community Festival – Sunday Aug 19th – Redwood City

Not only will you witness live entertainment and a parade, but you’ll be helping to support the youth programs of the San Matteo County Sheriff’s Office. There will also be food, arts and crafts and children rides and activities.

3. San Francisco Street Food Festival - Saturday Aug 18th – San Francisco

70 plus vendors will be out to showcase their delicious food! Come indulge in the best the city has to offer with food from restaurants, food trucks and even James Beard Award winner, but make sure to bring cash!

2.  Free Friday night bands on the beach – August 17th – Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk

Come listen to a free concert every Friday night at the boardwalk! This weekend the Boardwalk features the band The Fixx, who have under their belt hit singles like “One Thing Leads to Another” and bring the family to hit up games and rides before or after at the boardwalk!

1. Renegade Drive-In Movie Night – Saturday Aug 18th – Novato

Watch “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” on a 30 foot screen while you tune in from your car! There are spaces for blankets and chairs, as well as a concession stand, which usually features themed cupcakes, HELLO!
