Top Five Bay Area Weekend Events

Is it already Thursday? No complaints here! But if the end of the week snuck up on you and you’re looking for something to do this weekend here are my five favorite things going on in the Bay Area to check out!

Friday

Marilyn Monroe Free Movie- Berkeley

Come watch a classic movie for free at the Berkeley Public Library. You can’t go wrong with Marilyn, and you can’t beat the price, so change it up and do something different this weekend!

Redwood City Blues, Arts & BBQ Festival

Get some delicious food, enjoy live music from local musicians and many more. This fun festival will be going on all weekend and there’s even an arcade for the kids, or play yourself!

Saturday

Treasure Island Flea Market

An open air flea market that showcases hundreds of local vendors, outdoor exhibits and food truck vendors.  This event only happens at the end of every month! So get on over and enjoy beautiful views of downtown San Francisco while you’re there.

Pan Asian Night Market Festival- San Jose

From 7pm to Midnight, feast on fresh pan Asian cuisine to special market goods. Top it off with live performances and you’ve got the perfect night out!

Sunday

Fiddles N’ Fables (Free Ice Cream & Music Festival) – San Jose

Part of the Symphony Silicon Valley’s 2012 free outdoor summer music festival, this event features musical stories for kids, music from The Empire Strikes back to Sleeping beauty everyone will be happy. Did you see the part about free ice cream? YUM
