It may be Tuesday, but it feels like Monday to me. If you’re already anxiously awaiting the weekend like I am, here are a few things going on for free in the Bay Area this weekend to help to plan something fun and different!

Friday July 13th

Celebrate Santa Clara Fest – Enjoy some live music by local bands, beer and wine booths and some good food.

Free Circus in the Park (Oakland) – Circus Bella is an open air one ring circus that will be performing for free, so grab a blanket and some friends or family and enjoy!

Free SF Silent Film Festival (Castro) – Appreciate some classic films in one of the few remaining functioning movie palaces in our country. First come first serve for this fun event!

Saturday July 14th

Palo Alto Clay and Glass Festival – Get your hands on fine and functional art at this fun festival, and while you’re there check out the hands on pottery and wheel throwing demos!

San Jose Blues Week – Get out and enjoy the sun with some live music which is hosted at over 20 venues, so one will be close and convenient for you!

Bay Area Free Book Store (El Cerrito) – All books on shelves are free and you are welcome to take up to 100 home with you! So grab all kinds of goodies for your reading pleasure, or a gift!

Sunday July 15th

Los Altos Art and Wine Festival – Take the family or your friends with you to take part in rides, entertainment and a family fun zone! As well as the wine of course!

Stern Grove Festival (San Francisco) – Break out the blanket and lawn chairs and head down to Stern Grove park to listen to free concerts, make a day of it and bring lunch and take pleasure in being outside.

Free Sailboat Ride Day (Berkeley) – The Cal Sailing Boat offers free sailing boat rides every Sunday, learn firsthand how to sail or at least how not to go overboard.
