As one of the rising stars on Alice@97.3 and finalist for ‘The Voice’, it is surprising to learn the Vicci Martinez has never actually heard her own music on the radio. She’s seen herself on TV but never heard her voice sent into the ether by a DJ.

While backstage at Alice@97.3′s Summerthing, a free concert in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, she took some time to talk with Jayn about how she seems to be the last person she knows to hear her track.

“It hasn’t happen to me yet but everyone else like in my band and elsewhere have heard my song on the radio. I haven’t gotten to hear it.”

Martinez went on to say, “I’m living through them. They send me texts, or pictures or video.”
