Sunday Magazine With Liz Saint John 06.24.2012

Liz Saint John interviews three guests every Sunday morning covering a variety of issues and topics. She talks with representatives from Bay Area non-profit organizations, documentary filmmakers, authors, and professors.

1. Rich Hillis, Executive Director of Fort Mason Center in San Francisco, talks about the arts and cultural organizations that are based at the facility, the four different theaters, Greens, and the rent-able spaces available for conference, meetings or events.  Multi-media artist Patrick Stull discusses his exhibition at Fort Mason Center titled “Evolve…A Woman’s Journey.”

2. British war correspondent Lindsey Hilsum talks about her experience in Libya during the revolution and her new book “Sandstorm: Libya in the Time of Revolution.”

3. Shelley Jensen, communications consultant with JDRF and a person with Type I diabetes, talks about the latest research and development of treatments for Type I diabetes. Jason Skeogh, a founding member of Active Charity, explains how his group teamed up with JDRF to raise money for Type I diabetes research by hosting the annual JDRF Summer Gold Classic at The Course at Wente Vineyards.
