The Get in Front Dance Performance on June 6th at the Herbst Theater in San Francisco will benefit the Cancer Prevention Institute of California.

The show features dancers from Bay Area companies who are donating their performances to help raise money for CPIC.

Garen Scribner and James Sofranko, soloists with San Francisco Ballet, organized the event, starting with phone calls to their friends and colleagues at all the big dance companies in town. According to Garen and James, everyone said “Yes!”

The June 6th benefit will feature dancers from San Francisco Ballet, ODC/Dance, Smuin Ballet, Zhukov Dance Theater, Alonzo King LINES Ballet, Robert Moses’ Kin, Amy Seiwert’s Imagery, tinypistol,  Ballet San Jose, Axis Dance Company and Margaret Jenkins Dance Company.
