PATHSTAR is committed to inspiring and revitalizing sustainable health and well-being practices within Native American communities by providing experiential learning opportunities. Every year, PATHSTAR Founder Nancy Iverson, a pediatrician, brings Native Americans from the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota to the Bay Area for one week to learn how to swim and cook nutritious meals, ending the week with the swim from Alcatraz to San Francisco.
