Lady Gaga Charity Bracelet Lawsuit

ladygaga385 17 Lady Gaga Charity Bracelet Lawsuit

Looks like Gaga is facing a potential CLASS-ACTION LAWSUIT for her good deeds. She raised over $1.5 million for Japan relief funds, but now a law firm is saying that she kept some of the profits! So what’s the deal– is she really the monster they say she is? Find out more here!It doesn’t look like Mother Monster had any bad intentions here. According to her website, all of the proceeds from her $5 ‘We Pray for Japan’ rubber wristbands were supposed to go to charity. On Friday, a Michigan firm fired a suit saying that she charged unnecessary sales tax AND an inflated shipping charge in order to make a profit. They also say she may have inflated reports of the total donation.

Her rep says that lawsuit is “misguided” and “without merit”. He claims that the entire $5 donation was made for each bracelet sold. No profit was made on shipping costs, and sales tax charges were made “in accordance with local legal requirements”.

Hopefully it will be sorted out soon– we wouldn’t want to discourage celebrities like [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Lady Gaga[/lastfm] from donating to worthy causes. The prosecutors are asking for an accounting report, and we will see if it all evens out.
