San Francisco Court Appointed Special Advocates

 

Court Appointed Special Advocates are volunteers who are trained to be an advocate for a foster child. With the social service agencies in charge of foster children so overloaded, it’s important to have an extra set of eyes for each case. Maya Durrett is the Program Director for San Francisco Court Appointed Special Advocates  and Ashley Rhodes-Courter is the author of “Three Little Words,” her memoir about spending nine difficult years in the foster care system.
