Ban On Booze At Bay To Breakers

Did you see this?  The 100th running of the Bay Area’s most iconic race – May 15th, 2011 – will be a dry one.  No booze, for reals this time.  Boo.  Read my favorite B2B memory (sorry, it involves beer) and read the full article on the Buzz Kills after the jump! My favorite B2B memory was five years ago, my friend Kelley and I were headed towards  Heart Attack Hill and we stopped at a convenience store for beers.  The dude in front of us in line saw that we were only buying tall boys – at whatever early time of the morning it was – and said, “You two in the race?” We laughed and said yes and he turned towards the clerk… “I’ll get their beers, too.”  It was the best stranger-bought-beer I’ve ever had.

Here‘s the whole scoop on the impending changes; thank you SFGate!
